This year we have great snowy winter and real Russian frost. So the park you see is located in the North of Moscow. It was founded in commemoration of the VI World Festival of Youth and Students in 1957. But before then the area was known as a wooden settlement Akinino. In 1960 it was included in Moscow. Today the park is over 50 hectares big with ponds, amusement parks for children, and playgrounds. There is also a football pitch and an open-air fitness zone. Nowadays it’s a nice place for skiing, jogging and walking. Very popular among our oldies – Swedish walking with sticks. Children enjoy skiing in sledges from small hills. Even now, when the frost is over -10, the walks are very enjoyable and fun.
